All,

We just had a good ArLA board meeting this weekend, and one of the items
that I am very excited about is that ArLA has agreed to sponsor the
unConference this year (as long as it is under $1,500).

As the Chair of ArLA's IT Roundtable, I am taking it upon myself to
coordinate this year's unConference. I hope to be able to transfer this
exciting opportunity to the next Chair, particularly if this year's un
is even better than last year's and that ArLA will permanently fund it.
Perhaps, we'll even get vendors or other sponsors, to possibly make the
conference break even.

Many of the features from last year's event will be continued -
unConference format, particularly. I would also prefer to be able to get
more involvement via web2.0 and backchannel chatter via twitter,
ustream, etc.

I think that last year's un was successful, but this one can be even
better! For that, though, I need a lot of help!

The un-organizing committee from last year was great and I am hoping
we'll have just as good a group this year.

If you're interested, please let me know. I would like representatives
from all over the state and all types of libraries. If you volunteered
last year, please feel free to volunteer again this year, or happily
take a breather :)

I don't have a date or location planned - just a desire and some money,
so let's get started!
